We sometimes get asked, “Why should we choose your company to build our spray park?” That is a tricky question to answer without sounding cliche – it’s Our Experience!
So how does that translate to a benefit to our customers? Here is a great example. City of Prince Albert came to us, wanting to add onto an existing spray park. The park was initially built in 2007 by our Waterplay predecessor, Reg Carmichael of Dynamic Construction. We were so fortunate to learn from Reg’s 30 years of building spray parks and other civil construction experience. Reg documented and retained photos and information of how the mechanical and electrical was completed on every project, a practice we still use today (although with a modern twist.)
Our knowledge of this park enabled us to keep costs down for the City of Prince Albert. We knew the piles’ size, the features’ bolt pattern, and where the waterlines ran. We also knew that the materials and practices used during the original construction of the spray park would have had plenty of life left, so we wouldn’t need to retrofit or replace anything below the concrete.
We worked with the city to re-design the spray pad, and in May 2020, we started and finished construction without any surprises or guessing. The whole project went very smoothly, even with all the crazy things going on during COVID-19.
So when we say we have the experience to tackle your spray park project, it means we’ve designed and built over 40 spray parks across Saskatchewan with our team of in-house professionals who have learned from a pioneer in the industry, using cutting-edge equipment and technology to build spray parks that will last a lifetime and be enjoyed by children of all ages and abilities. That sums it up pretty well in 1-giant-way too long-sentence.
